White Chocolate Macadamia Nut cookies

Mr. Fisherman's favorite cookies.

Sadly, these are not homemade; I purchased them from the bakery at Walmart.

Mr. Fisherman LOVES these, but...

...I find them a bit expensive for 12 cookies.

Anyone out there have a yummy, soft, chewy White Chocolate Macadamia Nut cookie recipe they would like to share similar to the Nestle Toll House version?

~ I would be so ever grateful ~

Speaking of cookies...
Have you ever noticed the warning on cookie dough?

 Come on.... Really?????

Covered Buttons

I adore covered buttons; they add so much to your finished project.

These little buttons and button card are so simple to make.

Here's all you need:
Fabric
Button cover kit
Card stock
Twist ties
Hole punch
Ribbon

If you have never covered buttons before here is what you need.

The instructions are on the back of the package.

If you have a design you want to center on your button keep that in mind when you are cutting out your circles.

Cut your button card from the card stock in a shape you like and decorate.
As you can see, I chose to decorate my card with cute little lady bugs - of course.

Once you have your buttons made and your card cut out you need to put it all together.

Using a hole punch, make a hole to run your ribbon through.

Now cut a few slits in the card where you want to place your buttons.
Poke the shank of the button through the slit and run a twist tie through the shank to hold it in place.

And your done!

Iv'e been a little busy today....

Playing with my our new toy.

My Our new Canon Rebel T3i !

We (Mr. Fisherman and I) own four 35mm SLR cameras between us, but never a digital, so this is a whole new learning experience.

I am hoping this will help to post much better photos in the future.
Wish me luck!

Ruffle diaper cover...

...or, as I like to call them - Ruffle Butt Britches!

Aren't these cute?
It's the Fancy Ruffled Diaper Cover by tie dye Diva patterns.
I ordered mine from YouCanMakeThis.com.

I LOVE this pattern!

I made the 0-3 month size and found those tiny little leg holes were a bit of a challenge, but otherwise the pattern came together very easy.
I would certainly make them again.

And, of course, Miss Oakleigh needed something to match her new little sister.

I also purchase tee's and embroidered "big sister - little sister" shirts.

Brantley's basket empty...

Full and ready to go...

If you would like to check out Oakleigh's basket you can go HERE

Happy Tuesday!

No! This blog has NOT been abandoned!

It is with great pleasure that we announce the birth of our newest grandbaby, Miss Brantley Alynn born April 24, 2012 weighing in at 7lbs. 6oz., 20 inches long and in perfect health!

I also would like to acknowledge the passing of my dear, sweet mother in law, Mr. Fisherman's mother, on April 18, 2012. The day after the funeral Miss Brantley was born, so we actually had two celebrations of life back to back. We celebrated the life of one that blessed all of our lives and then celebrated the blessing of new life.

I want to say "thank you" to all that kept returning to this blog periodically to check in and see if there were anything new. It seems the last year and a half has brought many distractions and new directions to our lives, but we are over comers and will carry on the good fight. We hope you will continue to check in from time to time and enjoy this blog as before.
Thank you for your patience.

NOW... on to a look at a few goodies for my new grandbaby!

What little girl doesn't love a baby doll?

I purchased the doll from Target and just embroiderd her name onto the dress.

A hooded towel and rubber duck for bathtime.

A girl's gotta eat!

Wrapped and ready to go...

Why not match your outfit to your pacifier...

Stay tuned...
More to come tomorrow!
