Covered Buttons

I adore covered buttons; they add so much to your finished project.

These little buttons and button card are so simple to make.

Here's all you need:
Fabric
Button cover kit
Card stock
Twist ties
Hole punch
Ribbon

If you have never covered buttons before here is what you need.

The instructions are on the back of the package.

If you have a design you want to center on your button keep that in mind when you are cutting out your circles.

Cut your button card from the card stock in a shape you like and decorate.
As you can see, I chose to decorate my card with cute little lady bugs - of course.

Once you have your buttons made and your card cut out you need to put it all together.

Using a hole punch, make a hole to run your ribbon through.

Now cut a few slits in the card where you want to place your buttons.
Poke the shank of the button through the slit and run a twist tie through the shank to hold it in place.

And your done!

These are beautiful! I can't say that I "love" covering buttons, but you have definitely caused me to reconsider. I hope you don't mind that I've pinned this project on Pinterest. Thank you so much for sharing. I have some friends who will love this idea and will enjoy your blog. :-)
