You can eat quiche anytime!
Don't these look delicious?
And it's so easy to make.
I cheat and use readymade pie crusts; you can make your own if you like.
I take them out and let them thaw a bit while I am cooking the bacon.
Cooking bacon on the stove is such a mess, I just pop it in the microwave until it's crispy.
Drain on a paper towel.
After it's cooled, crunch it into bits.
Add the bacon and cheese to the bottom of the pie crust.
Pour the remaining ingredients into the pie shell.
Bake, cool and eat!
YUM!
All you need is the following:
3 eggs and 1 yoke
1/2 pt whipping cream
1/2 pound crispy cooked bacon*
1 cup cheese*
1 tsp flour
Salt and pepper to taste
1 readymade pie crust
1 tsp butter or margarine
Sprinkle cheese and bacon on bottom of the pie crust.
Beat eggs, 1 at a time, adding whipping cream and beating together with whisk.
Add salt, pepper and flour.
The more you beat the fluffier the quiche will be.
Pour mixture on top of the bacon and cheese.
Drop 1 tsp of butter on top of quiche mixture.
Bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes or until golden brown.
* You can substitute for ham, crabmeat, shrimp, chicken, spinach, mushrooms, variety of cheeses or other meats and veggies if you like. Use your imagination!
**** The above recipe is only for ONE pie ****
We eat this for breakfast with fruit - lunch or dinner with a salad.

Thanks Dani. I never thought about cooking bacon in the oven!
I just made a breakfast casserole this week and it was so blah...I'm going to make yours next week. We love to have breakfast at night!
Hi Lucy, thanks for your sweet comment on my blog! I'm so glad you found me! :) I realized you're the one with the awesome butcher block countertops - yup, I've been here before! :)
This looks really good! I always use store bought crust. I don't roll out dough - except for dumplings. I'll have to try your recipe!
