I say rescued because in his previous life he was being used
as a chopping block cutting board.
I brought him home, cleaned him up and painted him with a little chalkboard paint.
I am happy to say, he now leads a much safer and happier life in MY kitchen.

This is GREAT!! You just gave me tons of inspiration!
I'm not sure anything is safe in my house now :)
I just love that chalkboard paint. Turned out great.
what a crafty, adorable use of 80 cents!
Love love love LOVE!!! Chalkboard paint is SO much fun!!
BTW- I noticed your cute coffee mugs...I have a shelf with hooks (similar to yours) in my kitchen and i just could not figure out what to hang from them. Thought about pans (too heavy) and thought about regular ol' coffee cups but I thought that was too boring. I LOVE your monogram cups!!! Did you make them? I think I may be "stealing" this idea from you!
Love your blog and all of your ideas Lucy!!
