The Help

Have you seen the movie or read the book?

Did you like it?

I am one of those who prefer to read the book first - then go see the movie.
I knew the minute I read the back cover, I just had to buy it.
NPR.org - said "This could be one of the most important pieces of fiction since
To Kill a Mockingbird"
To Kill a Mockingbird is my very favorite movie - ever!
So, you see, I just had to buy it.

And, as you can see.....

I'm only on chapter 10, so please don't spoil it for me and give away the ending.

Can you believe this is Kathryn Stockett's first novel and it's a #1 New York Times bestseller and has been made into a movie?
Very impressive.

Confession...i NEVER see the movie before the book. It's a RULE. And I am a rule follower...but...I broke my own rule this time. I am reading the book, but all of my girlfriends read the book before me and set a date to see the movie and I just couldnt miss...so...i saw them movie and ruined the book. The movie was PHENOMENAL. Like a movie I will buy when it comes out on DVD. I am still reading the book...but it's harder to get into it after seeing the movie. Shame on me ;)
